Doctor Hopiola
High-performance botanical skincare designed for visible radiance and lasting comfort, using fewer, more intentional steps. https://www.drhopiola.com
When your skin seems to react to everything, the answer may not be to try everything.
Stress, travel, weather and changes in your routine can all add up.
Simplify. Reduce the variables. Change one thing at a time.
Sometimes your skin does not need more. It needs a little less, and a little patience.

Reading a skincare label can leave you with more questions than answers.
What does this ingredient do? Why was it chosen? And what does it bring to the finished formula?
We believe you should be able to find out.
So we created a new ingredients page for Dr. Hopiola, where you can explore the ingredients in Brilliance Oil Concentrate and Superior Refining Serum, and understand why they are there.
You’ll also find what we chose to leave out.
When Dr. Hope formulated the Radiance Set, she wanted each ingredient to have a reason for being there and each formula to do more without making your routine more complicated.
Every ingredient should earn its place. Explore the ingredients at the link in comments.

Some things about skincare cannot be understood through a screen.
An ingredient list can tell you what is inside. A product page can tell you why a formula was created.
But neither can show you exactly how it feels on the skin. The texture. The botanical aroma. Or what happens when Brilliance Oil Concentrate and Superior Refining Serum are experienced together, oil first and serum second.
That is why I am looking forward to bringing Dr. Hopiola to BITE NYC 2026.
On September 24 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York, I’ll be meeting retailers, distributors, aestheticians, and other beauty professionals looking for what belongs on their shelves, and in the hands of their clients.
If Dr. Hopiola has been on your radar, come experience the formulas for yourself. I’ll be there to put the products in your hands, answer your questions, and share the thinking behind our two-step practice.
Attending BITE? I’d love to meet you.
DM to arrange a time during the show.

You can research the ingredients. Read the reviews. Compare the claims.
But eventually, there is only one way to know whether new skincare is right for you: use it on your own skin.
How does it feel? Does the routine fit your life? Do you enjoy using it enough to stay consistent?
I can tell you why I chose each ingredient in Dr. Hopiola and why I designed the two formulas to work together. But only you can decide how the finished practice feels on your skin.
That is why I introduced the Radiance Guarantee.
If you are new to Dr. Hopiola, you can experience the complete two-step Radiance Set for 30 days. If it is not right for you, return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.*
Trying new skincare should feel like a considered decision, not a leap of faith.
If you have been considering the Radiance Set, this is your invitation to begin.
*Eligibility and full Radiance Guarantee terms apply. See drhopiola.com for details.
Softer. Smoother. Less dry.
Sometimes the clearest signs that your skincare is working are also the simplest.
By week three of using the Dr. Hopiola two-step practice, Tracey said her skin felt smoother and softer, looked more even, and wasn’t as dry as usual.
By week four, she was still enjoying the practice and said her skin felt “so much softer.”
That is the kind of change I had in mind when I created Dr. Hopiola.
Brilliance Oil Concentrate brings lipid-rich botanical nourishment.
Superior Refining Serum follows with hydration support and botanical actives. Two formulas, designed to work together morning and evening.
Because good skincare does not always need a dramatic story.
Sometimes it is looking in the mirror and noticing more even-looking skin. Or touching your face and realizing it feels softer than it used to.
If that is what you want from your skincare now, explore the Radiance Set through www.drhopiola.com.
*Tracey’s experience is individual. Results may vary.

Fragrance-free. Unscented. No added synthetic fragrance.
They may sound like different ways of saying the same thing. They aren’t.
And if fragrance matters to you when choosing skincare, it helps to understand what each claim actually tells you.
When I formulated Dr. Hopiola, I chose not to add synthetic fragrance to perfume the products.
That does not mean they are unscented.
Sweet orange peel oil, neroli, vanilla fruit, and pink grapefruit oil are among the botanical ingredients that contribute to their natural scent profiles.
Their aromas are part of the formulas, and part of the experience I wanted to create.
No added synthetic fragrance does not mean no scent.
It means knowing where that scent comes from.

Some skincare formulas are designed to do one job. Others are designed to do several things well.
A longer ingredient list does not automatically make a formula better. What matters is whether every ingredient has a reason for being there.
And that reason is not always something you will see called out on the front of the bottle.
Some ingredients nourish or support hydration. Others help give a formula its texture, stability, preservation, or the way it feels on your skin.
When I formulated Dr. Hopiola, I wanted each product to do more so your routine could ask less of you.
Brilliance Oil Concentrate comes first, with botanical oils and extracts to nourish and support soft, supple, radiant-looking skin.
Superior Refining Serum follows, bringing hydration and botanical actives to support smoother, more refined-looking skin.
Every ingredient has its own role. But I also considered how those ingredients would work together in the finished formula, and how the two formulas would work together on your skin.
The goal was never a longer ingredient list.
It was two formulas that could do more, so your routine could stay simple.
Oil first. Serum second.

Can skincare really open, close, or shrink your pores?
Not in the way those words suggest.
Pores do not open and close like doors. Hot water does not open them, and cold water does not close them. Very hot water can actually irritate your skin, which may make pores look more noticeable.
Several things can make pores appear larger, including oil, congestion, irritation, cumulative sun exposure, and the gradual loss of firmness around them as skin ages.
Skincare cannot erase pores. What it can do is help with some of the things that make them stand out.
Gentle cleansing, non-comedogenic products, appropriate exfoliation, and daily sun protection may all help pores look less noticeable.
Scrubbing, squeezing, picking, and over-exfoliating can do the opposite. Irritation can make skin texture, and the pores you are trying so hard to minimize, stand out even more.
So if your pores are bothering you, I would ask a different question:
"What is making my pores look more noticeable right now?"
That is a much more useful place to begin.
Because completely poreless skin is neither realistic nor necessary. Smoother, more refined-looking skin is.

If skincare is natural, does that automatically mean it is safer?
No.
And as a physician who formulates natural skincare, I think that distinction matters.
Natural ingredients are central to how I formulate Dr. Hopiola. But where an ingredient comes from does not, by itself, tell you how your skin will respond to it.
I chose each ingredient for a reason: what it brings to the formula, the evidence behind it, and how it works alongside everything else.
Then we tested the finished formulas for skin tolerance.
Because natural origin matters. But so does the thinking behind the finished formula.
