My Restore Yourself moment for Tuesday 10.13.26
Today started slowly. My feet felt good, but my low back was yelling at me—and had been since last night. Fifteen minutes of yoga didn’t bring much relief, so I rested. Then the rest kept getting longer.
I had to dig deep to find the motivation to try a walk. With my walking sticks, I focused on my breathing, posture, and picking up my feet.
Do I wish I didn’t need the sticks? Absolutely. But being safe matters, so I’m calling them my own personal walking elliptical!
Afterward, my mood lifted. I rode the bike for five miles, then enjoyed the sauna. That quiet time felt extra good because I was proud of myself for showing up on a hard day.
The old Robin loved taking on a challenge. Today’s Robin is constantly learning to honor what my body can do and find happiness where I am, without comparing myself to anyone else.
My challenge looks different now. It’s less about speed, distance, or calories and more about being that little engine that could—moving at my own pace and taking pride in what I can do. 💚

My Restore Yourself Moment – 10.12.26
The fun (sarcastic) of having an overthinking mind is that sometimes it just decides when it wants to kick in ~
My Monday morning started out great. Beautiful weather, having water outside, then coffee with my bare feet in the grass.
Then out of nowhere, a negative thought popped into my head. Why? I have no idea. I was having such a positive morning.
Unfortunately, I let that thought get the best of me for a while.
Once I got to the office, I decided it was time for a reset. I put on some binaural meditation music, laid on my grounding mat on the massage table, and gave myself 15 minutes to quiet my mind. I was thankful for a new positive thought process.
Today’s reminder: Just because a negative thought enters your mind doesn’t mean you have to let it stay.
Sometimes restoring yourself means recognizing when your thoughts are taking over and choosing to try to redirect them. Give yourself some grace, remember at times it’s one day at a time.
Not every moment has to be positive to still have a good day.

My Restore Yourself Moment – Sunday, 10.11.26
Another beautiful October day, and I take full advantage of it!
I spent quite a bit of time outside mowing the lawn, pulling out vegetable plants, and enjoying some fresh air. Half the time I listened to my workout music, and the other half to calming EMDR therapy.
Remi thought the lawnmower was chasing him, which made for some silly moments! Remi has higher anxiety but crazy boy is not afraid of lawnmowers or w**d wacker- makes no sense.
Meanwhile, Ruby was perfectly content laying soaking up the sunshine.
Throughout the day, I reminded myself how thankful I was. Thankful for the beautiful weather, thankful to have a yard of my own, and especially thankful that my body still allows me to get out there and mow my own grass.
Sometimes the simplest everyday chores can become moments of gratitude.
Today wasn’t just about yard work. It was about appreciating what I have and what I can still do. 💚

My Restore Yourself Moment for Saturday, 10.10.26
What a beautiful fall day!
I tried to soak up every bit of sunshine and vitamin D I could while enjoying some barefoot time in the grass.
I also gave my feet some much-needed TLC with my foot massager. Between stretching, massaging, and keeping my feet moving, I’m realizing just how important it is to make foot care part of my daily routine.
My feet carry me through every day, and with the challenges I have with walking, they deserve a little extra love.
Self-care doesn’t have to be complicated. It’s the little things we make time for consistently that can make a difference.
One day, one step, one Restore Yourself moment at a time! 💚

My Restore Yourself Moment – Friday, 10.09.26 🐾❤️
Rest was the plan today, and everything else worked around it!
I was grateful to be able to share some coffee with a good friend this morning also.
Ruby and Remi were more than happy to help me with my gratitude, grounding, and relaxation, both morning and night. 🐾❤️
Today was a reminder that taking care of ourselves isn’t just something we should do when we’re sick or exhausted.
Self-care is about caring for our body, mind, and soul EVERY day. Eating better, moving our bodies, managing stress, finding gratitude, and yes, knowing when to REST!
Life gets busy. Work, responsibilities, technology, and everything in between can easily push our own needs to the bottom of the list.
But here’s something I’m learning…
Rest isn’t being lazy. Rest is taking care of yourself.
Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is absolutely nothing! ❤️
Restore Yourself — because YOU deserve some of your own time, too!

My Restore Yourself Moment
Thursday, 10.08.26
My body was not very agreeable today. I was moving slower than my usual slow, and honestly, it bothered me.
It would have been easy to skip grounding, forget about gratitude, and certainly not push myself to move.
But I chose to change my perspective. ❤️
I can’t run anymore. I can’t walk the distances I’d like to, and I certainly can’t move as fast as I wish I could.
But I CAN move.
And whatever speed my body allows me to move, I’m going to be grateful for it.
Because when I stop focusing on what I can’t do, I remember just how blessed I am for everything I CAN do.
Any mile is still a mile. Any movement is still movement. And every effort counts. 💚
