Imagine your hair in placed in to a ponytail for 4 months straight 👀

You can’t let it down, and your hair and scalp never get a break.

Even a low ponytail for a considerable amount of time would feel uncomfortable.

I want you to think of each bond as an individual, micro ponytail.

The more over direction above the bond, the more the client will feel the bond in there hair.

The more over direction above the bond, the higher risk they have of snagging it by accident.

The more over direction above the bond, the higher the risk of popping out those corners if the client doesn’t perfectly care for their hair.

And if you add a wacky roll in to the mix?

Now we have even more tension baked in and a higher risk of damage.

My goal is always to make the install as comfortable and unnoticeable to the client as it can be.

When you get your technique so honed in that clients can’t feel the bonds in their heads you will have a client for LIFE.

Have you had a client be rude over a price increase?

I have 🙋🏻‍♀️

When someone is rude I don’t mind being very blunt back.

This woman was not a long standing loyal client, and she made an absolute scene in the salon.

She didn’t end up coming back after the price increase.

Not because she didn’t want to, because I fired her 🫶🏻

My heart 😭

The more over-direction you have in the section

the more the hair in the section will twist when rolling your bonds.

That means hair that was on one side can end up crossing over your section.

This creates uneven tension in the section of the natural hair, a baked in twist, and garunteed looping during grow out.

If we have uneven tension, that means the tighter hairs are actually the ones holding up the majority of the weight of the bond.

Now even if you’ve density matched the section, you’ve shifted the density to less hairs.

Hone in on your section size, your roll and the impact it has - it makes a difference for your clients 🫶🏻
