My philosophy on skin health actually started long before I ever worked in aesthetics.
It started on the softball field.

As a collegiate athlete, I learned that you don’t build a strong body by obsessing over how it looks. You build it by training it, fueling it, recovering, and giving it what it needs to perform.

And something interesting happens when you do that:

The aesthetics follow.

The stronger and healthier my body became, the better it looked. The appearance was never the primary objective. It was the result of taking care of what was underneath.

Years later, working in dermatology, I realized skin follows the same principle.

Skin is not decoration. It is an organ.

It responds to sleep, nutrition, stress, movement, sun exposure, skincare, treatments, and consistency.

That completely changed the way I approached aesthetics.

Instead of immediately asking, “What can I inject to fix this?” I started asking:

“What is this skin actually asking for?”

Sometimes the answer is a treatment.

Sometimes it’s a different skincare regimen. Sometimes it’s addressing sun damage. Sometimes it’s supporting the skin barrier. Sometimes it’s simply giving the skin time, consistency, and the right inputs.

The goal isn’t to do more.

The goal is to understand what your skin actually needs.

That is why Nourish exists.

Skin health first. Aesthetics second.

Because when you build the foundation correctly, aesthetics become the natural byproduct, not something you have to endlessly chase.

I have learned that you cannot outwork God’s plan.

For years, I wore working myself into the ground like a badge of honor.

Long days. Long hours. No mental space. Always pushing. Always trying to make the next thing happen.

And for a while, I thought that was what ambition was supposed to look like.

But eventually, I realized that the life I was building wasn’t actually the life I wanted. Especially when I thought about the life I wanted to build with my husband.

So in 2026, I started surrendering.

Not giving up on my ambition.
Not caring less about my work.
Not becoming passive.

Surrendering the outcome.

I still work incredibly hard. I’m deeply committed to my craft. But now I have boundaries. I pray. I sit with things in the quiet. And before making big decisions, I ask God what He wants instead of immediately deciding what I want.

And honestly, my life and business are blooming in ways I never could have planned for myself.

That doesn’t mean everything is easy. It isn’t.

But there is a completely different kind of peace that comes from believing that God is good, that His timing is intentional, and that I don’t have to force every door open myself.

The less I try to control the outcome, the more I trust His plan—and somehow, the greater the outcome becomes.

I never want to look back on my life and wonder:

What if I had stopped following my plan long enough to truly follow His?

Because maybe the life He has planned for me is far more beautiful than anything I could have forced into existence myself. 🤍

Your skin is always communicating with you.
Acne, redness, rosacea, sensitivity, and pigmentation aren’t the problem; they’re often symptoms of a deeper issue: inflammation.

The mistake so many people make is jumping straight to the strongest products, hoping they’ll “fix” their skin. But when inflammation is driving the problem, more actives can actually keep your skin stuck in a cycle of irritation.

That’s why I focus on treating the cause, not just the symptom. By calming inflammation first, we create the right environment for your skin to heal, and in many cases, concerns improve before we even introduce ingredients like retinoids or exfoliating acids.

If you’ve been trying everything and your skin still isn’t improving, it may be time to stop guessing.

Book a skincare consultation, and let’s create a personalized plan that gets to the root of what’s really going on with your skin.

This is why customized treatment plans matter.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to aesthetic treatments, and the goal shouldn’t be to make everyone look the same. The best results come from assessing the individual face, skin, anatomy, and goals, then creating a plan that evolves over time.

For this patient, her customized plan included:

Customized skincare regimen to establish and maintain healthy skin.

Signature under-eye treatment Ă—2, spaced 8 weeks apart, followed by yearly maintenance.

Masseter neuromodulator Ă—2, 3 months apart, then twice yearly to help create a slimmer facial appearance.

Sculptra Boost Ă—2, 8 weeks apart, then yearly to enhance the jawline and create a more lifted, refreshed appearance.

The result isn’t about more treatment; it’s about the right treatments, in the right areas, at the right time.

If you’re considering aesthetic treatments, look for a provider who takes the time to create a plan specifically for you, rather than simply offering a menu of treatments. Your face is unique. Your treatment plan should be, too 🤍

Here’s what changed:

1. I stopped isolating my skin. Skin reflects what’s happening throughout the body; gut health, hormones, sleep, stress, and more. When those are off, your skin usually tells on you.

2. I looked at my inputs. Whole foods. Healthy fats. Fiber. Protein. Your skin is built from the nutrients you give your body. You can’t out-serum a nutrient-poor diet.

3. I prioritized hydration. Not just more water, adequate electrolytes, too. Hydration is a foundational part of healthy, resilient skin.

4. I lowered my stress. Chronic stress can contribute to inflammation and impair the skin’s ability to repair itself. This was a missing piece for me for years.

5. I started training for muscle, not just movement. Resistance training supports circulation, metabolic health, and overall tissue health. Your workout may be doing more for your skin than you realize.

6. I got serious about my skincare regimen. SPF is non-negotiable. Beyond that, I stopped treating skincare like a random collection of products and started thinking about what my skin needs consistently over time.

7. I started using in-office treatments strategically. Home care is the foundation. Treatments are how you build on it, collagen induction, resurfacing, and targeted correction. You can’t out-treat a broken foundation, but you also can’t always reach your full potential with home care alone.

8. Consistency won the race. Skin doesn’t change overnight, but it changes every day you show up for it.

Healthy skin isn’t one product, one treatment, or one quick fix. It’s the result of everything you do consistently.
