Honey Brown Highlights 🤎✨ — done entirely with color!

This beautiful woman came in for her color consultation with her heart set on the inspiration photo: a gorgeous, all-over copper.

But this is exactly why I require a consultation before booking a color appointment.

After asking lots of questions about her hair history, lifestyle, and maintenance expectations, I learned two important things:

✨ She had only colored her hair once, as a teenager.
✨ She was an expecting mother with a big life change right around the corner.

We talked about how dramatically different an all-over copper would feel and how much maintenance it would require—especially when she eventually wanted to grow it out or return closer to her natural color.

Instead, I showed her some honey-brown highlight inspiration. She loved it, it complemented her beautifully, and it gave her the warmth and dimension she was drawn to without committing her to a high-maintenance all-over color.

Grey Blending with Semi Permanent color💞

My beautiful client had left a salon to come to me since the first stylist she had been using was adding highlights to blend her grey and it was just too light for her.
So I mentioned using an ashy semipermanent color to blend her greys and keep her darker. But it faded so brassy it was frustrating.
I threw out the idea that I had had success using a special semi permanent line to create “grey” lowlights that stayed grey and did NOT fade brassy. The only downside is they will NOT bleach out of her hair either.
Thankfully she trusted me and loved how natural the new dark grey lowlights looked in her hair.
I toned all the rest of her ends with an ash demipermanent to blend the brassiness.
