Microneedling and proper licensing!

Compliance is becoming a huge issue in the aesthetic space.

To help with this issue, if you are not already aware, if they are a RN, ask about their collaborative physician, if they have one, and if they’ve been properly trained to perform Microneedling.

If they are a NP, or PA some about half of the states do not require a collaborative physician while the other half do, ask the question and also if they’ve been trained properly.

Estheticians are not nurses, they are not medical assistants. They/we are amazing at what we do (I can say this because while an NP, I obtained an esthetician certificate) however the treatments have to be in line with the scope of practice according to the state. Estheticians are not trained in school to perform Microneedling because it involves puncturing the skin below the top layer or epidermis. Estheticians provide beauty treatments at the layer of the skin, never below.

Always advocate for yourself. It’s a simple ask during the consultation. This is the time when both the provider and patient determine if you are a good fit for one another and if you, the patient, are a good candidate for the treatment.

It shouldn’t be an uncomfortable conversation if the person is compliant.

Other simple ways to know if we are licensed properly:

✅Many of us post our certificates/licenses in the facility and this is required by many states.
✅Check for us on the Public Health or Consumer Affairs websites
✅ Google us
✅Just ask

Create a Skin Care & Correction Roadmap!🛣️📍

For this client we created a roadmap for facial balancing. We both agreed to a natural not over done look that would simply enhance her natural beauty.

Patient has given permission for us to share her photos.

Whether you have important events coming up or have a goal to achieve rejuvenation to your skin, it’s important to have a roadmap that sets realistic expectations based on your personal needs.

Not only is this important, it also is crucial to hold yourself accountable to the treatment plan. Keep your appointments because just know that your transformation is not too far away. Many times you will see these changes within weeks as they are gradually occurring. It also is important to maintain your home care. Wearing spf or hats to protect your skin, others may not know or understand what you are doing but you do. it’s those small things that truly matter.

First Look! 👀

This was the first look at my office space inside of ASPIRE Luxury Salon Studios Riverside.

Met the interior designer, she showed me the sample of the cabinets, countertops, and flooring.

I toured the building and saw those amazing floor-to-ceiling windows.

It was a hot August afternoon with not ventilation set up so the huge fans were blowing!

We reconvene in a week to view the nearly finished building to prepare for our move-in.

I’ve can’t wait to design this space, I’ve changed my mind a couple of times on the theme. I believe that I have it now, hopefully.

This young lady comes in regularly for preventative treatments.

She has been with me for 2 years.

She boldly made the decision to invest in prevention with medical grade skin treatments.
