We're baaaack!

Hey everyone. It's been a long 3 months but June 26th we are back in a big way. We have been working tirelessly to reschedule 3 months of appts and have reached out to most of you already, and if we haven't, be patient we're getting there.
Firstly we want to thank you guys. The clients. Your support and concern during this time has been amazing. And to all of those that prepaid appts, prepaid several appts, bought gift certificates, dropped money in our Venmo and generously just gave is the reason we are still here. Those tokens of your generosity will not soon ever be forgotten.

Going forward we do have a few changes that will be implemented and they are as follows:

For those of you that do not have our personal cell numbers or fb messenger, we have a new landline number. 484-509-1377 that you can text or call.

Starting July 1st. We will be implementing a new card processing service with Square. It also supports contactless payment as well if you're one to use Apple Pay or Google Pay.

In an effort to limit the population in the salon there will be no more waiting area for appts. We ask that you kindly wait in your car and we will text you when it's your time for your appt.

We ask that you do not bring additional people with you to your appt unless they are receiving a service as well.

Please no stopping in to schedule appts. We ask that you please call/text/ FB message for scheduling appts.

We've got thermometer for temp checks, plenty of hand sanitizer and disposable masks if required, although we do ask that you bring your own mask.

And lastly the most important thing that we ask is that you PLEASE be kind and courteous to one another while you're in the salon. This virus has affected and impacted us all in many different ways and it's important to keep that in mind when you're here. We want everyone's experience to feel as comfortable and relaxed as it once always was.

Any further questions or concerns, feel free to message your respective stylist.

Now let's commence on bringing those good hair days back!! ๐Ÿ’‡โ€โ™€๏ธ

I did not write this but I felt compelled to share. I miss my profession and my clients greatly.

I am a licensed professional. You know what that means? That means I went to school full time, 40 hours a week, for an entire year, to get to 1600 clinical hours, then passed a two phase exam to prove I knew my stuff. That also means every two years I have to renew my license with 4 additional sanitation hours. I am licensed to touch people. That is a privilege that very few professions have, and one that I, and the state, take very seriously. So seriously that the state comes into my salon, at random, and inspects my facilities and procedures with a fine tooth comb. There are major fines for noncompliance and they are not lenient. We are trained and prepared to protect you from infectious disease transmission from ourselves and from others. We literally train for this our entire careers. Long before you were worried about COVID-19, I was worried about HIV, MRSA, Staph, Strep, Tuberculosis and more, FOR YOU. One of the safest places you could possibly be is in my chair, with me. And now Iโ€™m being forced to stay home, because I am a danger to society. This is a joke. Grocery stores are disgusting and crowded. Loweโ€™s and Home Depot are disgusting and crowded. Car washes are open. Construction sites are open. Pawn shops are open. Now movie theaters, malls and museums can open! None of these places are trained to keep you safe like I am. Forcing us to close is a misguided feel-good measure that is protecting no one, but is bankrupting salon professionals, who are predominantly women, most with children. If you donโ€™t believe me, look to our politicians and tv personalities. They look fantastic with their fresh haircuts, color and makeup! They feel so safe with their salon professionals that they are still receiving hair and makeup services. They feel like they should still be receiving our services. They just donโ€™t think you should.

Soft Opening of Hair Salons and Barbershops 04/16/2020

Everyone has their own opinion, but coming from an owner standpoint, I actually completely agree with this. If it's a larger salon that's a different story but being as small as we are and to anyone that was in the salon the last week that we were operational you remember that only one person was allowed in at a time and strict sanitation protocols were followed, which is precisely what I've seen other states petitioning for. There is absolutely no way that I believe being in a grocery store even for 10 minutes, even with people at a "safe" distance is more sanitary than being in my shop that I can control the cleanliness, sanitation and population for an entire day. And as far as all of the so called small business loan programs out there that I have been busting my ass behind a computer all day for weeks just to find that they've all been depleted by businesses like Ruth's Chris before I could ever receive a dollar.. So when you're putting thousands of dollars of your own hard earned money into your business just to keep it afloat, because your landlord and all your vendors and utility companies have no sympathy for your situation, you better believe I want to be opening and soon. If you agree feel free to sign and share. Not saying anything will come out of it, but it's worth a shot.
P.S. apologies for the rant. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hey there everyone! Hope everyone is staying safe, sane, and well during these crazy times we're going through. Wanted to use the opportunity to get ahead of things and keep everyone updated as we know things. First off we wanted to thank everyone for reaching out with their texts, even if we haven't got around to responding, we want you to know that we hear you and we're anxious as well to get back to doing what we do.. I wanted to address a few questions/concerns that the two of us are receiving on a daily basis and they are as follows:
1. Are we rescheduling for May yet? and the answer is no. At the current time and with the reality that this may extend even further (let's hope not ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ) we are NOT going to reschedule any appts for May. If you currently have an appt. scheduled for May that appt still stands, but subject to cancellation if this extends.
2. Are we doing any house calls/side work? And the answer to that is also no. With careful consideration, we feel at this time it is in everyone's best interest and safety to abide to the appropriate social distancing and quarantining protocols. Not to mention that the idea of being reported and losing our license, is an absolute deal breaker.. We want to be doing your hair for many years to come.
We understand that everyone wants to be at the top of the reschedule list but going forward the plan is going to be rescheduling your appts in the order that they were canceled. We will be contacting everyone in that order, and those people will receive top priority. We'll be working harder and longer to get everyone taken care of as soon as possible.
If you know anyone that's a client and not on Facebook please feel free to pass along the message, We'll be trying to reach out to them through text otherwise.
Until then, stay tuned for further updates, and stay well, wash your hands and TRY not to cut your bangs. ๐Ÿ˜‰โค๏ธโค๏ธ
