For those using our Generation 3.0 and Go 2.0 devices, remember to wear your protective eyewear when using near infrared light! While earlier models didn’t require this, it’s a great way to keep your eyes comfortable and protected. Near infrared light can warm up tissues a bit, so we want to make sure your eyes are well taken care of during your treatments.

Visible light wavelengths below 700 nm have a milder effect on tissue temperature. So, when you’re using Joovv’s red mode (650 nm), you don’t need to wear eye protection. In fact, it can even help support healthy cellular function in the retinal layer. And remember, if the light seems too bright, you can keep your eyes closed and still receive benefits.
