Your brain does not simply adopt new behaviors.

It adopts behaviors it helped build.

That is the IKEA effect — and it is the most underused principle in identity work.

Design the new behavior yourself and your brain will protect it like furniture you stayed up until midnight assembling.

Save this. You will want to come back to it.

Sixteen years ago this was the thing I could never say out loud.

Now it’s the foundation everything I build is standing on.

If something in this carousel felt like it was written about you — send me a hello in the DMs. I read every single one.

That feeling when you finally say yes to yourself.
Not yes to a slightly improved version of the life you’ve already built.

Yes to the version of you that exists just past the edge of what feels reasonable right now. 💫🚀

She’s not a dream. She’s not a someday. She’s the next identity — and she’s been waiting longer than you’d like to admit.

This is your signal.

Comment EXPAND if you’re ready to meet her.

15 years of hospice conversations taught me something about the life most people are quietly postponing.

The regrets I witnessed weren’t about the big failures. They were about the version of themselves they never gave permission to exist.

That’s what brought me here. Not to hold space for the end — but to help you build the life that doesn’t need to be grieved.

If something in this post stirred something in you, send me a hello in the DMs.

Your nervous system isn’t failing you.

It’s processing the size of who you’re becoming.

👉🏻 The fall-back isn’t weakness. It’s not a sign you’re not cut out for this. It’s what happens when your brain hits the ceiling of the identity it’s always known — and has to decide whether to expand or retreat.

You’re not retreating. You’re resting.

There’s a difference.

I went from physician to creator. Same woman. Completely different expression. And yes — I’ve sat in the discomfort of wondering if the serious, clinical version of me was the only version that got to exist.

She isn’t.

Neither is yours.

This is the work we do inside The Friction Point Method — not just the strategy, but the identity underneath it.

💅🏻 If this season is yours, follow along. We’re just getting started.

You’ve had the vision for years.

You can describe the office. The clients. The morning routine that doesn’t start with a hospital badge and fluorescent lights.

You’d rather not think about the rush hour traffic that has you sweating bullets every single day while you mentally go through the list of daily hurdles you have to take. You tell yourself that soon it will be better, soon you will take the plunge. You will start that business, you will write the book, you can see yourself recording your podcast every single day and speaking on stages instead of suffering the daily corporate grind.

But every time you get close to taking that plunge? Something pulls you back.

Not circumstance. Not timing. Not the economy.

You.

Something deep inside your chest. A subtle discomfort that seems scared and warns you about “stepping out of what you’re good at”.
Not every time, but often enough that it has you concerned.
And now you doubt that your dream is the right thing to do.

Specifically: this is the version of you holding you back that was built for the life you’re in right now.

BUT: dreaming big isn’t just about seeing the future more clearly. And it sure as heck isn’t about being 100% sure about it all the time.

It’s about designing the version of you that is comfortable in the new life, the new activities, the next chapter you’re building - one small new behavior at a time.

While allowing your current self to lose its fear of the new and get accustomed to the chapter of life you desire next.

That’s a very specific kind of work I teach inside the Friction Point Method. It’s not about creating better vision boards. Or calming your mind. It’s about a very specific type of design.

So… If you’re done letting your current version of you make your decisions about your dreams for you, comment EXPAND and let me show you the work.

There’s a lingering thought that you can’t quite shake off, because there’s a version of you that already knows...

You’re not waiting for more credentials. You’re not waiting for the right moment. You’re not waiting for permission from the committee of people whose opinions you’ve been carrying for years.

You’re already there.

But your nervous system? It’s still running the identity you built to survive the last chapter.

- The promotion you didn’t ask for and missed out on, because you were too afraid of taking up space.

Because every time you did, your world became unstable, unsafe, dangerous. Unloved.
4 year old you is talking to you and keeping you safe from a threat that no longer exists.

- The business idea you haven’t launched that’s been sitting in your notes app piling on dust.

Because you’re convinced that you just need more research (telling yourself you’re just being reasonable).

- The relationship dynamic you keep repeating.

Because deep down your heart is trying to resolve a question it won’t find the answer to in the outside world but doesn’t see the path to freedom (yet).

THIS ISN’T A MINDSET PROBLEM.

This is biology meeting identity at a friction point: where your old version is straining against the version of you that you so desperately desire.

I’ve been in your shoes and I know exactly how it feels like being held hostage by your own patterns.

That’s why I have poured my time and effort into creating The Friction Point Method for women who:

- feel limited in their own patterns,
- desire the version of themselves that walks through life with unshakeable confidence,
- no longer doubt themselves and their actions,

and as a result have limitless opportunities for a delusional life fall at their feet.

You felt it. The freeze. The smile you didn’t mean. The scream that never left your throat.

And you thought it was weakness.

It wasn’t. It was your nervous system doing exactly what it learned to do — protect you.

But here’s what nobody tells you: the moment your body starts speaking again? That’s the opening.

Not more therapy. Not more analysis.

We move fast.
We go straight to the signal — and we redesign from there.

Swipe to see where it starts. 👉

Comment EXPAND if you’re the woman who is ready to move.

That moment in the meeting when you had the answer… and gave the safe version anyway.

You drove home and replayed it. Again.

Your body felt it before your mind could intervene. The dry mouth. The chest that contracted. The version of you that went quiet.

That’s not a confidence problem. That’s an IDENTITY FRICTION POINT. And it’s trainable.

Save this, follow for the next one.
I’m breaking down avoidance dressed up as diligence next.

And if you’re ready to stop overriding your own signals?Comment EXPAND.

You had the answer. It was right there — fully formed, sitting behind your sternum.🔥

Then your mouth went dry. Your heart ticked up. And you gave the safe version instead.🫥

You drove home and replayed it. Again.

That moment isn’t a confidence problem.
It’s your nervous system running an identity that no longer fits.🤌

And it’s trainable.

Comment EXPAND if you’re done letting your nervous system make your decisions for you.
