🚨MISSING: 14-YEAR-OLD INDIANA GIRL MISSING FOR THE SECOND TIME IN A WEEK, FAMILY SAYS SHE WAS KIDNAPPED THE FIRST TIME AND HE CAME BACK
📍New Washington, Indiana (Clark County)

14-year-old Lillian "Lilly" Stanley is missing again, less than a week after she was found the first time.

What police have confirmed:
- Lilly first went missing from her home in the 23000 block of State Road 62 in New Washington around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4. A countywide Missing Endangered Person alert went out Monday.
- She was found that first time, and the sheriff's office says she was returned home Tuesday, Oct. 6.
- She was last seen again at her home around 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9. Police say she's on foot, wearing a camouflage hoodie and brown pants.
- As of Saturday afternoon, ground search teams and K9 units were doing secondary searches around New Washington.
- Lilly is white with brown hair and hazel eyes.

What her family says:

After the first disappearance, Lilly told her family a man dressed all in black with his face covered tied her up near a barn. She said she could see he had brown eyes and tan skin, and that he told her he'd be back for her. She says she crawled away while still tied up, with bags over her hands and feet, and went to three houses before a woman answered and called 911. Her family says she had marks on her wrists, ripped jeans, grass stains, and wet clothes from crawling through water. She was taken to the hospital and has had trouble remembering things, which her family blames on shock.

Her family says they were so scared after that, everyone had been sleeping in the master bedroom, and they had ADT out Friday morning to install security. Around 10:30 a.m., Lilly was in the living room by the front door feeding the dogs while her dad went into the kitchen to write something down for the ADT employee, who was 6 to 8 feet from the front door. Her mom and one brother were out getting food, and her other siblings were in the bedroom. Then Lilly was just gone. The family says she didn't have shoes on, and the ADT employee has been questioned and says they didn't see anything.

Her family says they've given police everything they have. They've acknowledged she could have run away, but they believe the evidence points to a kidnapping. Either way, she's 14 and she's missing.

The next Atlantic name is Isaias if a tropical storm forms. Depending on how things trend, some of its moisture could get pulled north and bring increased clouds and rain chances into Indiana this weekend around Sunday. This would potentially lower our high temperatures on Sunday depending on the solution. Plenty to watch over the next several days! Oof! These stories are killing my soul!!!!

I don’t know who needs to hear this but…QUIT HARMING KIDS!!!

If you’re overwhelmed, I get it.
If you feel hopeless, I get it.
If you feel weak, I get it.
If you feel depressed, I get it.
However…it’s never an excuse for harming a child. And if you see it and don’t stop it…you’re just as guilty.

I’ve been babysitting since I was 10. Took a formal class with CPR instruction at 12. Certified again in high school.
I’ve babysat every younger cousin I have at some point. Made pretty good money as a teen babysitting on weekends.
I chose to be a mom to four because I love kids and I wanted to do it better than my parents did.
I was a parent aide for Catholic social services. I was trained to help young parents cope with life. I gave them tips on managing their stress or did their dishes so they could nurse the baby or take a shower. Whatever they needed….i tried to help.
One of the best volunteer jobs I’ve had next to helping friends run a food pantry for over a decade.

My point is…if you’re struggling…reach out for help. Do not take your frustration out on your infant or child. I haven’t lived here long and I don’t know what resources if any are available but we can figure it out. You’re not alone.
This goes for single dads too.

I don’t judge…I assist, I empathize, I listen.
