🚨 ARREST MADE FOLLOWING CARDINAL GREENWAY INVESTIGATION 🚨

On July 3, 2026, investigators with the Richmond Police Department arrested Billy Wallace following an investigation into an incident that was reported on the Cardinal Greenway.

Wallace was arrested on the following preliminary charges:
• R**e - Level 3 Felony
• Battery - Level 6 Felony
• Strangulation - Level 6 Felony

This arrest was the result of a thorough and coordinated investigation conducted by members of the Richmond Police Department's Investigative Services Division, S.A.F.E. Unit, Patrol Division and the Wayne County Sheriff's Department. Through their diligent efforts, teamwork, and commitment to pursuing every available lead, investigators were able to quickly identify and apprehend the suspect.

The Richmond Police Department would also like to thank the individuals who promptly reported the incident and assisted officers during the investigation. Their cooperation was instrumental in helping bring this case to a swift resolution.

As a reminder, all criminal charges are merely allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
