1. I tell all of my clients, the best moisture treatment you will ever get is from shampooing and conditioning your locs. It does not cause buildup. The first ingredient is water.
2. I’ve been seeing this on social media for a while. I tend to mind my business but that was short lived 😂🫣. As your locs grow, it’s natural for the hairs to grow together. Yes, you want to keep your parts separate but some of you are going to extreme lengths where you are ripping hairs and weakening the foundation. Overtime your locs are going to look thinner at the roots.
3. If you’re shampooing your locs regularly using a clarifying shampoo and not applying heavy products then we could finally do away with detoxing for good. ACV is acidic and your hair is already slightly acidic (4.5-5.5 on the pH scale). Your locs can become dry and brittle.
4. Pruning can weaken your locs over time because those hairs were never meant to be cut but cultivated. Locs tend to be naturally frizzy. Your hair texture also comes into play with this. In addition, frizz can be a result of lack hydration. With lack of hydration your hairs are reaching out for moisture.
5. Locs tend to get heavy as they grow so putting 600+locs in your hair can add a significant amount of weight to your hair. We shed about 50-100 hairs per day but with locs you will not see it because in your locs. Also, as we mature, life is going to LIFE. Hormonal changes, vitamin deficiencies, diseases, stress, etc all take a toll on our hair. You have to factor in density when it comes to installing locs.
Had my sisterlocks going on 6 months. Is this really my second rodeo when I’m the rodeo queen?!? 👸🏾🤷🏾♀️🤣

Yes, I’m accepting new clients.
Consultations are mandatory prior to scheduling a maintenance appointment.
Why on earth was I terrified to record this process? I’ve cut hair plenty of times. However, your girl was shook. It came out exactly how I pictured it. Learning to not be so hard on myself. We are learning and growing everyday.
The question I get asked the most is: “Are you accepting new clients?”
The answer is yes—but availability is limited.
Consultations are required for all new clients and must be booked before any services. Please do not schedule a consultation and a maintenance appointment at the same time, as those requests will be declined.
Thank you for understanding. I look forward to possibly working with you.
