I got to be a client yesterday. Well, kinda. I got the honor of letting Jaye Edwards - Colour Expert/Educator paint my hair.
I could rave about him(and I should/will.) I could brag about the Richmond, Va Hair Salon and Citrine | RVA Luxury Extension Lounge crew(like I always do.)
But what really struck me is the magic of our job. I don’t really believe in coincidences so I know the stars gave me the option to “sit still for hours so the stylists have a great model for what they want to learn” when I always make excuses to hurry thru or skip over things that make me feel better.
I don’t know what the bigger gifts in my life are…
-getting my hair done by one of the best in the game and feeling so so pretty
- being reminded of how magical our careers are
- the honor of mentoring/reminding so many amazing stylists about all of it

When Montrose Flower Farm asked us to spend a few minutes with her and her camera to try some shots out on their beautiful property I was ELATED. She is SO talented and these are our first family pics as a family of three. (Swipe all the way bc Dax’s facial expressions are hysterical and perfect.)
Make sure you follow her Montrose Flower Farm bc she’ll be opening up their magical space for mini sessions in the upcoming months- including a day with her stunning dahlias. You do not want to miss your chance, trust me.

How lucky am I that life gave me you?
I often don’t feel grown enough to be raising boys. I’m still trying to figure out how to take care of myself. I don’t have the answers. I get things wrong. I get cranky and tired. When I tuck you in at night I often wish I played more. Listened more intently. But I think every night you close your eyes feeling loved and safe. And that’s the best I can do.
