Different day, different curls, same intention😊
Typically when it is a full day, I am styling 3-5 curlies with waves, curls, or coils.
On this day, I had 3 new clients ALL wanting to lose some length and ALL got to see their curls enhanced with just a little styling technique shift!
Every time someone sits down though, my core intention is always the same: helping you learn to effectively care for your natural texture💗

I think it's really cool how I have 1 - been asked if I styled certain hair textures and 2 - been complimented on how versatile my clients shown are.
Honestly, I know that's because I haven't been consistently sharing the beautiful souls I've gotten to style lately.
Over the past year and a half, learning from many artists online yet especially and has been making a world of a difference in how I style hair...even naturally straight hair!

When the day-of is even better than the preview...
I knew leaving Crystal's Preview that there were things I wanted to tweak.
To be very honest, almost every time I style someone, I immediately start thinking how I could have styled it differently. My perfectionism tendency still tries to rear it's head so I just try to ignore it.
Yet half of the beauty of special occasion styling IS the creative side...creating something just for that person that could be imitated as inspiration, yet never recreated identically.
Both styles look beautiful thanks to Crystal arriving with properly prepped hair🙌🏾, yet the "little" adjustments took us both over the edge in happiness with this style!!

3 Things in My Kit that You Should Use:
1 - A hot tools - That could be a curling iron, flat iron, curling wand, or blowdryer w/ a diffuser. A hot tool sets your hair and locks it in the shape you create and heat is needed to do that.
2 - A heat protectant - You'll want to use an aerosol one most of the time for ease of use when using direct heat sources. YET a liquid one that I prefer gives the hair more staying power.
3 - A wide tooth comb - For naturally straight hair, this is the perfect way to separate curls with frizz-free results. For naturally coily and curly hair this can act as a pick to lightly fluff out the roots for some root volume.

Hair enhancements come in various types yet this one is my favorite...
Clip-in hair extensions are the most versatile temporary hair enhancement tool I have used for a few reasons:
1 - They come in various amounts of thickness to match your hair’s thickness
2 - There are a TON of color options (when you can be properly color matched) + human hair ones can be glossed
3 - When properly cared for and used weekly, you can reuse them for about 6-12mts before needing to replace them
I used 10pcs (2 packs) to enhance Shauna's already beautiful hair for her wedding and they blended seamlessly!
And before you ask that question that everyone asks…Will my curls last on my wedding/special occasion?
YES, they will last until you start running your hands through your hair a ton OR shaking your hair. (Because no amount of hairspray is going to keep curls frozen in place when you live your best life on the dance floor.😁😉)
