Today, I wanted to share something deeply personal.

My beautiful grandmother recently passed away. While I’ve only known her in the later years of her life, I’ve grown up hearing stories about the woman she was—her love for music, glamour, and carrying herself with quiet elegance. Even in the years I got to witness, she never lost that part of herself.

I can still picture her with her hair carefully braided and pinned on both sides, her rings always on her hands, and her signature denim jacket. Those little details may seem simple, but they were her. They were her way of expressing herself without saying a word.

As I’ve found my own passion for beauty, hair, and makeup, I’ve realized that artistry is so much more than what we create—it’s about the people who inspire us to see beauty in the first place. I believe a piece of that came from her. Her love for music, her sense of style, and the way she carried herself have become part of the inspiration behind my own creative journey.

From this day forward, every hairstyle, every makeup look, every bride I have the honor of working with, and every piece of art I create will carry a little bit of her with me.

Thank you, Grandma, for leaving behind a legacy of beauty that lives far beyond appearances. I hope to make you proud with every brush stroke and every client who leaves my chair feeling beautiful.

My grammie was my very last guest at cosmetology school, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a more special way to close this chapter 🤍✂️

Getting to do her hair — a soft, curly diffused style that brought out all her natural beauty — felt like a full circle moment for me. From the very beginning, she’s been one of my biggest supporters, and having her in my chair at the end meant everything.

This chapter is closing, but my heart is so full. I’m beyond grateful for every single person who supported me, trusted me, encouraged me, and believed in me along the way. None of this would’ve been possible without you all.
