Your body was designed to move, and every step you take toward caring for it matters. Whether it’s a Pilates class, a walk outside, or a few minutes of stretching, consistency is what creates lasting change.

Hi friend! 🤍

I wanted to take a minute to reintroduce myself to anyone who might be new to our page.

My name is Erica Carter, and I’m the founder of Prayers & Pilates. I’ve been married to my husband, Michael, for 14 years, and together we have four amazing boys, Maxim (13), Beckham (9), Easton (6), and our youngest, Hayes, who is almost six months old.

I fell in love with Pilates about five years ago, and it truly was love at first class. Years of high-impact workouts had left my knees in constant pain, and exercise became something I dreaded. Pilates changed that. I felt stronger, my body hurt less, and I found a level of core strength I had never experienced before.

That led me to pursue my 500-hour certification and build a small in-home studio.

That little studio quickly became my sanctuary. It was where my husband, our boys, and I worked out, prayed together, and thanked God for the gift of our bodies and the ability to move them. We started calling it “Prayers & Pilates” and even bought a neon sign with the name.

That same sign now hangs in our Colleyville studio.

A few months later, God called me to leave my position as Vice President of Sales and bring this space to others. It didn’t make sense on paper, but I couldn’t ignore what he was asking of me. I chose to leave comfort behind and trust him completely.

Today, we have two studios, are preparing to open our third, and are launching our very first franchise location.

But the growth isn’t what I’m most grateful for.

Watching God move inside these studios has been the greatest blessing. Seeing stories of healing, renewed faith, restored hope, and lives changed through movement and prayer is something I’ll never fully have the words to describe.

What started as a dream has become a community far greater than I ever imagined.
