Go pick up your copy of the Rome News Tribune today to check out the article on Debbie Bell 's retirement!
With the shop going through the transition of Debbie Bell retiring and Quinn Jordan taking over as owner we wanted to ask all of our clients following this page to take the time to jump over and write a Google review if you havent already. Please mention your favorite barber (if that was Debbie say so, she deserves acknowledgement too), and tell us your favorite thing or memory about our shop. If you've already written a review share this post to help spread the word to others about us!
This will help us see what customers enjoy about us. Plus, Dana Bond and Amelia Marks are competitive and want to be able to hold it over Quinn's head more people like them than they do him.
Forrest Barber Shop would love your feedback Post a review to our profile on Google

Did someone say bonus round!? No? Then I will!
Deep in the recesses of the Forrest Barber Shop closet we have uncovered a true time capsule.
This is an AB Moler Barber School Kit complete with licenses from the 1970s.
AB Moler opened the first ever barber school in 1893. It resulted in the eventual standardization and regulation of an industry that, up until that point, had very little true oversight in regards to what being a "Barber" truly meant.
Want to check out these pieces of history in person? They will be on display at our shope thru the month of October!

Round 5, and it may be the last for today. This isn't some sort of fancy torture device, no, it is a "Barber Hand Massager". The only problem is the massager massages faces and shoulders while shaking the barber's hand mercilessly. We will stick to our Jeanie Rubs and Osters, thanks.

Round 4! Vintage "Clean Ray Sanitizer Cabinets". These bad boys use a UV light housed inside them to keep clippers, combs and anything else you store inside them sanitary. The only issue is you have to make sure to keep your eyes off the bulb and your hands out of the cabinet for extended periods. Turns out light that kills stuff is also not great for people either.

Round 3! A student case from the Marietta University of Cosmetology. No clue how old this may be, but the school used to be on the square in Marietta.

Round 2 of cool finds during shop cleaning. A shampoo headrest adapter! We won't be putting it to use, but it is a pretty interesting tool.

Cleaning out closets at the shop. Thought people may like to see what turns up. Uncovered vintage shoe shine equipment. It's not original, but it is neat. (Including a photo of the origonal stands for fun.)
