I wanted to warm up Alyssa’s face but still keep her freckles peaking through and focus on those beautiful hazel eyes! Then we did a bouncy wave for her hair. Such a beauty inside and out. She’s a Quince Queen! Ok but seriously i did NOT look like this at 15. This girl has the best smile, the best skin and the best brows🥹 I made her promise to never over-pluck. We went with a sultry smoky cat eye and a heavy lash. Such a fun glam! ❤️

It’s not every day you get to put makeup on one of your heroes! I will always cherish this day❤️. If you don’t know Dolly, she is hilarious. She’s actually a full glam type of girl and has loved makeup and fashion all her life. For the purpose of our photo shoot I wanted a more natural look for her, to which she responded, “more sparkle!”🤣. I focused on her skin and kept the eyes simple with a gold shimmer all over the lid since she wears glasses. She is just the most beautiful woman. Love be her to pieces!

Honestly a little mad at myself that I didn’t get more pics of this smoked out wing I did on Monique! But in my defense, I had no idea I’d be doing this in a couple months😂. Most of the pictures I’ve taken were just to make sure I blended and didn’t miss anything. Anyways, we loved this classic matte look on her👏🏼. And I love her classic side eye too 😂❤️.

My why❤️. Growing up I was always a girly girl. I LOVED makeup, hair, nail polish, fashion, anything and everything that looked glamorous. I became a teenager right as social media and YouTube began to takeoff and that’s how I learned about beauty trends. What’s so shocking to me is that the internet was so chill compared to the filth that’s on here now yet I still found myself struggling with self worth, eating disorders, envy, jealousy, self loathing and all of the horrible things that have been plaguing the beauty industry for decades. As I found freedom from all that junk, it lit a fire in me to shout the truth from the rooftops! That the world will lie to you and trick you. That they’d rather you hate yourself so you’ll buy more of whatever they’re selling. So what do we do, throw away all of our makeup and grow out our leg hair?! I’m not saying that(although it does happen occasionally 😂). I’m saying that there is a balance. I’m saying that makeup or my body in general doesn’t define me. That’s not where my worth comes from. That’s not my identity. I find all of that in Christ. I’m worth more. That’s why my bestie and I started so many years ago. And that is the fuel that lights my fire now. Little girls are watching with a light in their eyes and a smile on their face that I never want to see diminished. Makeup and hair should be fun! We should be able to enjoy our femininity with pride! But we also need to fight against the fake. The fake filters and the idea that skin is supposed to be textureless. Or that everyone’s lips should look like a bratz doll and everyone’s nose like a who from whoville. The next generation is watching. Sophia is watching. Ellie is watching. So if I can’t find the good in the beauty industry, I’m going to be the good. God you can have it all. And if I ever stray from what is right, true and pure, then God please take it all. Here’s to all the little girls in our lives knowing better and doing better❤️
