The best time of the year… chemical peel season!! 🍌🍂

Peels are the ultimate powerhouse treatment & can be customized to benefit almost any skin concern. Whether we’re targeting breakouts, aging, dullness, texture, or pigmentation… peels really do it all!

My personal favorites are:
- glycolic gel peels
- clear skin peels
- triple berry peel & vitamin a peel
- spot-less peel & hero peel

The key is prepping your skin in advance with a hydrating skincare routine including antioxidants and daily sunscreen. One peel is great for brightening and refreshing, but a series of 4-6+ treatments is recommended for best results. ⚡️

Let’s clear a few things up…
🤍 ALL skin types need moisturizer
🔥 Your skin care products should never burn
🚪 Your pores don’t have muscles/no way of contracting to open and close
🌱 I’ve seen more clients come in with stripped barriers from using essential oil based skincare than I’d like to count
☀️ UVA rays are strong every day, not just in summer, and we need to protect against them

There’s so much misinformation out there and I don’t blame anyone for believing these myths!! There was definitely a time in my life when I believed every single one of these.

It’s key for preventing excess collagen and elastin loss, as well as hyperpigmentation - but it’s also vital for your health. I push it because I care!! 💗

☀️ These statistics from The Skin Cancer Foundation explain it best:
+ 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧: Unprotected exposure to UV radiation causes about 90 percent of nonmelanoma skin cancers and 86 percent of melanomas. Further, UV radiation is a proven human carcinogen.
+ 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧: Sunscreen, as part of a complete sun protection strategy, helps to prevent skin cancer. Two studies showed that in people who used sunscreen every day, melanoma was reduced by 50 percent and squamous cell carcinoma by 40 percent.

…So if you’re not already, find a sunscreen you enjoy, and wear it every single day. If you need a recommendation, lmk!

Hydrojelly masks: A series 🪼

I loooove a good hydrojelly mask because:
1️⃣ they’re fun
2️⃣ they’re relaxing + soothing
3️⃣ they LOCK INNN hydration + reduce inflammation

These masks go on like jelly, then solidify to create a gentle vacuum seal, locking in all the juicy hydrating serums I apply underneath 🧃

I love pairing them with a scalp massage (ft. jade combs), then finishing with cooling globes on top for an extra anti-inflammatory boost ❄️
