A little copper to brighten your Monday. 🍂

It's actually feelin like Fall today and I'm so ready for sweatshirts, soups and warm dimensional hair ✨

Reminder that the holidays are quickly approaching, be sure to schedule accordingly! I will be out the week of Thanksgiving.

October just makes copper hair make sense. 🍂

A soft copper base with lighter blonde dimension blended through it feels like the perfect way to warm things up for fall without going too dark.

But I need to know… are you someone who changes your hair with the seasons, or do you stick with your color year round?

Price isn’t the whole story. Value is. ✨

I’ve seen a lot of comments saying, “But Supercuts is cheaper.”

And you’re right, they’re built to be.

Supercuts has an efficient business model that’s designed to get guests in and out quickly. There is absolutely a place for that in our industry, and for many people, it’s exactly what they need.

But that’s not what I offer.

When you sit in my chair, you’re not just paying for the end result, you’re paying for my time, my attention, and the years of experience behind every decision I make.

Here’s an example:

💇‍♀️ A partial highlight at Supercuts is typically scheduled for 60 minutes, often using around 6–15 foils.

✨ My partial highlight is booked for 2–2.5 hours and usually includes around 60 foils, custom placement, personalized formulas, detailed toning, and finishing that isn’t rushed.

When you break it down by the minute, the cost difference isn’t nearly as dramatic as many people think.

You’re not comparing the same service.

You’re comparing efficiency with customization.

One isn’t “better” than the other, they simply serve different needs. If you’re looking for a quick refresh, a walk-in salon may be the perfect fit. If you’re looking for someone to take the time to understand your hair, your lifestyle, your goals, and create a color that’s tailored specifically to you, that’s what you’ll find in my chair.

At the end of the day, you’re investing in more than hair. You’re investing in the experience, the consultation, the craftsmanship, and having someone who is fully focused on you.

What matters most to you when choosing a hairstylist: price, convenience, or personalization? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments. 💕

There’s something extra special about having family in my chair. 🤍

Every appointment is more than just hair to me. It’s time spent together, catching up, laughing, and making memories while doing something I truly love.

To my family, thank you for believing in me, supporting this business of mine, and reminding me that the people closest to us can also be some of our biggest supporters. It means more than you’ll ever know. ✨

“Am I losing too much hair?” 👀

This is one of the most common questions I get behind the chair.

Before you panic, ask yourself a few questions:
✨ How many days has it been since you last washed your hair?
✨ Have you been wearing your hair in a ponytail or messy bun for several days?
✨ Do you have curly hair and only wash once a week?

If you answered yes to any of these, you may simply be seeing multiple days’ worth of normal shedding all at once. Those hairs would have fallen out throughout the week, but they stayed trapped until you brushed or washed your hair.

It’s also normal to lose 50–100 hairs every day.

If you’re noticing that your shedding truly seems excessive, here are a few common reasons it can happen:
• Physical or emotional stress
• Illness or surgery (often 2–3 months later)
• Hormonal changes (postpartum, menopause, starting or stopping birth control)
• Nutrient deficiencies
• Rapid weight loss
• Certain medications
• Seasonal shedding

As your hairstylist, I can’t diagnose the cause of hair loss, but I can let you know if I’m noticing changes in your hair or scalp and help point you in the right direction.

If your shedding has continued for more than 2–3 months, you’re noticing visible thinning or bald patches, or your hair density has changed significantly, it’s a good idea to schedule an appointment with your primary care provider, a dermatologist, or a trichologist. A trichologist specializes in hair and scalp health and can help identify potential causes and recommend appropriate next steps.

Your hair is often one of the first places your body shows that something has changed. Paying attention to it is important but so is knowing when what you’re seeing is completely normal.

Have you ever been surprised by how much hair comes out on wash day? You’re definitely not alone. 💛
