I have come to know this incredibly wise and humble friend over the past year or so. Paul Tappenden lived a life of remembering and sharing our roots & connection to nature and that we are all a part of it. I remember the first time we got to share time with one another in Nyack for a walk with his furry companions, we spent a solid hour excitedly sharing about our love for Mugwort and it's place in our life's journey. Many a time, we like to think of a person no longer being on this plane as a loss, but our soul knows when it's our time. When I heard of Paul's state and friends were calling in support and prayers, I chose to pray and honor Paul's life and timing, even if it meant no longer getting to see him in this way.
May your journey home reside in peace, your heart be filled with lightness and know the effects you've created here on earth & beyond will continue to ripple outward forever and always. Thank you for showing up and living your truth, sharing your wisdom, curiosity and stories - they will continue to be woven into my life's tapestry as I remember you, always and think of you with your smile, like the way you expressed your love for Mugwort and your pups 💙 I love you, my dear friend. And thank you for gifting me with the sacred bow - connecting with this practice will be all the more meaningful, coming from you. I'm also extremely glad to have my last memory of you saying goodbye several times with big, warm hugs to follow after an evening with close friends. I'm seeing more clearly, now why that was.. May you journey on, dancing in your deepest joy.
