My heart is so full as I welcome another beautiful group of students into Dr. Usui Reiki Level I & II Practitioner Certification.

I used to wonder if complete healing was even possible.
Not just learning to cope…
Not just pretending I was okay…
Not just pushing the pain down until it resurfaced later…
I mean REAL freedom.
The kind where your past no longer has permission to control your present.
The kind where certain songs don’t make you cry anymore.
Certain places don’t make your stomach turn.
Certain memories no longer steal your peace.
The memories are still there…
But the chains are gone. ⛓️➡️🕊️
Abuse…
Betrayal…
Rejection…
Abandonment…
Heartbreak…
Trauma…
None of those things get to define me anymore.
Today… this is me. ❤️
✨ Healed.
✨ Whole.
✨ At peace.
✨ Free.
Not because I’ve forgotten what happened…
But because it no longer owns me.
Now, when I tell my story, the tears that come are different. They’re bittersweet. Not tears of defeat…but tears of gratitude.
Because I survived.
Because I became stronger.
Because I became wiser.
Because what once almost destroyed me became the very thing that allows me to sit beside someone else and whisper…
“You’re going to make it too.” 🤍
Healing has taught me something beautiful…
People don’t always need someone to fix them.
Sometimes they just need someone willing to sit with them in the darkness until they’re ready to see the light again. 🕯️
That is where empathy is born.
That is where love grows.
That is where hope begins.
