To all of my amazing clients,

I wanted to take a moment to share what has been happening over the last couple of weeks and why I’ve had to step away from the salon.

On Friday, July 17, while on the last day of my family vacation, I was involved in a serious golf cart accident. The golf cart flipped over, causing severe injuries to my leg. I suffered deep lacerations, a dislocated knee, and required 18 stitches. I was transported by ambulance to the hospital and was discharged later that night.

Unfortunately, just two days later, the pain became unbearable. On Sunday, July 19, I had to return to the hospital by ambulance, where doctors discovered that I had developed two severe infections in my knee. I was admitted for five days, receiving IV antibiotics while undergoing multiple scans, tests, and cultures to determine the cause of the infection.

I was discharged on July 24 with strict instructions to remain on bedrest, keep my leg elevated, and continue taking my medications. Thankfully, I am improving each week, and I am incredibly grateful for that. While I am feeling much better than I was in those first few days, my recovery is still ongoing. I can get around a little in my wheelchair now, but I still cannot keep my leg down for very long without significant throbbing and pain.

I’ve been taking my schedule one week at a time, hoping I would be able to return sooner rather than later. However, after listening to my body and following my doctor’s recommendations, I’ve made the difficult decision to remain out for one more week. My current plan is to return to the salon on August 14, provided my recovery continues as expected.

I know appointment changes can be frustrating, and I truly appreciate every bit of patience, kindness, understanding, and support you’ve shown me during this unexpected time. As a small business owner, being away from the salon has been incredibly difficult because I genuinely love what I do and miss seeing each of you.

Thank you for allowing me the time to heal properly so I can come back healthy and give you the quality of care you deserve. I can’t wait to get back behind my nail table and see all of your smiling faces again.
