This scar healed red and purple after a tummy tuck. I built skin-tone pigment into it in layers over several sessions, adjusting the undertone each time until it blended into her natural skin.
Red and purple scars take patience. Each session builds on the last one, and that is why it looks this soft and natural.

Have a scar or patch of skin that healed lighter than the rest of you?
That's called hypopigmentation. It happens when the skin loses its natural color, often after surgery, an injury, a burn or a skin condition. Light or white scars can stand out more than the scar itself, especially on darker skin tones.
This is some of my favorite work. With scar camouflage, I add color back into the skin using pigments I custom blend to match your natural tone. I never use one flat color. I build the color in stages, adding detail in later sessions so the area looks like natural, living skin.
Here's what to know:
I work on all skin tones, including darker skin.
The scar should be fully healed, usually about a year old.
Smaller scars often take up to 3 sessions, and larger areas 4 to 6, spaced about a month apart.
Most skin heals in just a few days after each session.
Stay out of the sun for at least two weeks after each session, since a tan changes the color we're matching.
Every scar is different, so the best first step is to send me a photo and tell me what you'd like to change. I'll let you know if it's a good fit and walk you through a plan.

Arm lift scar camouflage, before and after, still in progress.
This is a brachioplasty scar, the long scar along the inner arm after arm lift plastic surgery. So many of my clients have an arm lift after major weight loss, and they love the shape of their new arms, but the scar can heal thick, raised, ropey or darker than the skin around it. That’s what this one looked like when she came in.
Scar camouflage is a form of paramedical tattooing, also called medical tattooing. I custom blend skin-tone pigment to match your natural color and work it into the healed scar so it blends with the surrounding skin. It’s a non-surgical scar treatment, a gentle option for anyone who isn’t ready for another surgical scar revision.
A scar like this takes real planning. Before the first session, I mapped out the color and studied the texture so each session builds on the last. The color is coming together beautifully now. There are still some dark areas I need to blend, and I expect about four more sessions to finish.
I’m sharing this in the middle of the process on purpose. Scar camouflage is built in layers, and I want you to see the real journey, not just a perfect final photo.

This is a brachioplasty scar, the long incision that runs along the inner arm after an arm lift. This one healed thick and ropey, so it took a lot of planning before I ever picked up the machine. I mapped out the color and the texture first so every session builds on the last.
The color is really starting to come together. There are still some dark areas I need to blend, and I expect about four more sessions to get it where I want it.
I’m sharing it now because I want you to see the real process, not just a finished photo. Scar camouflage is built in layers, session by session, and that’s how you get a result that looks natural.

Facelift incision scar camouflage, in progress.
This client’s facelift incision took about 3 to 4 sessions to get to where you see it now. The scar is pretty much covered. You can still see a little bit of the line, and that’s what we’ll blend in the next session to soften it even more.
This is how scar camouflage works. It’s built in sessions, layer by layer, so the color heals naturally into your skin.
What to expect when you come in:
Your first couple of appointments are the longest. I take photos, match your color, and talk you through everything so you know exactly what’s happening.
After that, the appointments are pretty quick. You do have to go through the sessions, but each one moves you closer to the finished result.
The process is painless for most of my clients, and I’m always ready for you when you walk in.
