Doing your research on lash extensions, lash health and the artist you want to choose is extremely important before getting your lashes done.
Do not be afraid to ask questions, and make sure that the artist of your choice has been properly trained and educated.

Your lash artist should be doing a thorough consultation with you before you start regarding style, curl, range of length, and the difference between classics, hybrid and volume. You may see different “mapping” styles online and can use those as your example.

You should also thoroughly go through aftercare together at the end of your appointment. A lash artist should always tell you to WASH YOUR LASHES, several times a week if not every other day or every day, as not washing them can lead to bad retention, build up of dirt and oil / makeup, and/ or possible infection. Some people may think that their lashes are coming off more by washing them, and a properly trained artist will explain everything to you in detail so that you understand.

Just because an artist has a beautiful social media / website and great content / photos does not mean that they are properly educated and as you can see in this video, sometimes that can lead to very poor lash quality and damaged lashes.
