With spring approaching, Channel Islands National Park needs to be on your bucket list! The spring is a great time to visit because the wildflowers start to bloom, the hillsides turn green again, and the blowholes (water shooting out of caves) are more likely to be observed! Make sure to book a sea cave kayaking tour with @sbadventure when you visit; it is so so beautiful and one of the best adventures I’ve had in any National Park to date! Remember that with recent firings of national park staff across the USA these areas are understaffed. When visiting we all need to do our part to lessen the burden on the park rangers. Don’t complete hikes or activities that are outside your comfort zone (there will be less search and rescue resources available), pack out all of your trash and pick up any litter that you see, stay on trails, and be prepared!!
