Well this was fun. Also not the plan at all for today. The initial plan was to start going blonde from previous permanent red hair/highlights but she had a ton of banding and her hair was compromised. Her hair broke off during the test strands and we decided using lightener was too big of a risk.

As the test strands were processing, we were talking through plan A, B, and C. Unfortunately we had to go with plan C which was an all over color to neutralize the red. I could tell she was disappointed, so I came up with the idea to do a fun color on some leftover extensions I had for a fun pop of color and she was game.

I’m glad we were able to pivot plans and I could still give her something she was happy with even though this isn’t what she initially wanted 🫶🏻

Back to school hair for this cute girl! Forgot to take a before, but her root color is what she had all over. Super proud of this balayage we did and the hug she gave me at the end when she saw it made all the hard work so worth it. 🫶🏻
