When I told my mom I was going to cosmetology school, she didn’t really believe in the vision I had for myself.

Not because she didn’t support me or want me to succeed… she just didn’t know what being a hairstylist could actually turn into.

She didn’t know it could lead to me building my own business, becoming an educator, working with brands, teaching other stylists, winning awards, and walking into rooms I once could only dream about. 🥹🩷

And honestly, back then, I don’t think I fully knew either.

I just knew I loved doing hair, I had a passion for making women feel beautiful, and something inside me kept telling me to keep going.

Now I get to look back and realize that cosmetology school wasn’t “just doing hair.” It was the beginning of a life and career that has opened doors I never imagined possible.

Sometimes the people who love you the most can’t see the vision yet… because God gave the vision to YOU. 🩷

So if you’re starting something and the people around you don’t completely understand it yet keep going. One day, they’ll understand why you believed in yourself so much. ✨
