Be honest with me 👀👇🏽

What’s one lesson life taught you that you wish you learned earlier?

08/07/2026

I've noticed something lately, especially here on the blue app (Facebook), and I think it's worth talking about.

Whenever someone is consistently active on our page, we often take time to visit their profile to see what they're doing. Honestly, I've been disappointed by what I've found.

Many people—including business owners and skilled professionals—spend most of their time sharing giveaway posts. I even came across one follower whose timeline was almost entirely filled with giveaway posts from different pages. It made me wonder: Is this really helping you grow?

Here's the truth: no amount of giveaways will make you wealthy or solve all your problems. Giveaways can be fun, and sometimes you might win something, but they should never become your main focus.

The same time and energy you spend chasing giveaways could be invested in building your future.

If you have a business, promote it.
If you have a skill, showcase it.
If you're learning something new, share your journey.
If you're creating something valuable, let people see it.

People can't support what they don't know exists.

I've seen this on my own page too. Whenever we post a giveaway, the engagement goes through the roof. But when I make a post encouraging people to share their businesses or trades, the engagement drops significantly.

Even more surprising, I visited the pages of those who did share their businesses. Out of everyone, only one person consistently showcased their products and services. The rest had little or nothing about what they actually do.

Think about that for a moment.

Your social media profile is more than a place to scroll—it can become your free storefront, your portfolio, your résumé, and your personal brand.

Stop waiting for opportunities to find you. Start creating opportunities by consistently showing the world what you have to offer.

Growth comes from creating value, not from chasing every giveaway that appears on your timeline.
