By our third year at Zhen Day Spa & Beauty, I realized a big truth: I couldn’t grow this dream all by myself. It was time to build a team.

Finding the right people wasn’t easy. I had to learn how to hire, train, communicate, and ensure every single client received the top-tier service they deserved.

Some team members came, and some left. There were times I trusted the wrong person, and times I had to start completely over from scratch. But through every obstacle, I learned how to become a stronger, wiser leader.

Year 3 taught me the ultimate lesson: If you want to build a lasting business, you have to learn how to build the right team.

Year Two: Big Growth & Bigger Responsibility 💡

Year two came with a rush of growth. As our clientele grew, I knew it was time to make a major move—from our small original space into a much bigger location!

Money was still tight, and suddenly I was learning what it truly meant to run an enterprise. I needed a team, which meant learning how to manage people, navigate marketing and advertising, handle client relations, and still deliver top-tier spa treatments every single day.

In Year Two, I was the owner, manager, receptionist, marketer, and service provider all in one. I wore every single hat!
