FLOAT creates an environment for clients to have the most relaxing experience of their lives. Chambers (referred to as float tanks or sensory deprivation tanks) have only ten inches of water in them, but more importantly, 1200 pounds of Epsom Salt. This much salt makes you so buoyant that you pop to the top of the water like a cork! Your head, arms and legs are fully supported. Then we heat the water to the exact temperature of your skin so that you actually quit sensing where your skin ends and the water begins! This gives the sensation of escaping gravity, and often losing the feeling of your physical body altogether, allowing you to escape regular consciousness while falling into a completely relaxed state. Often times we feel guilty about doing absolutely nothing. We may think that constant productivity is needed all the time. It is ok to slow down. It is ok to reset.
A little update from Float: Aescape robotic massage is no longer available at our spa.
We loved having it as part of the Float Spa experience and are grateful to everyone who gave it a try. While we say goodbye to Aescape, we’re already making plans for something new and exciting to take its place.
Stay tuned—we can’t wait to share what’s next.
