Yesterday was the Susan G. Komen Visionary Awards Luncheon. This event highlights the extraordinary people doing amazing advances in treatment and fundraising for support of breast cancer patients and research. Many thanks to Joanne Horning and her amazing team for including Lotus Rx as one of the sponsors of this wonderful event! In addition we were seated with Dr. Mark Pegram, head of the Stanford University School of Medicine breast oncology program, whom I thank for keeping my Mom's breast cancer treatment on course these past 4 years. The number of mammograms purchased yesterday for women who otherwise would not receive early screening leaves me speechless. To say "feeling humbled" is an understatement!

For many women, chemotherapy and itchy scalp go hand in hand. This itchiness and overall sensitivity can last for months post last treatment.
