Plot twist: I forgot to color her bundles 🙃 Same day color wasn’t the plan, but I always make it work!
She wanted a low maintenance sew in, so we went with kinky extensions, a clean blunt cut, and soft face framing layers. The kind of style you can unwrap in the morning and go no whole routine required. Low maintenance, still polished.
Quick weaves are meant to be quick, but when your client has this much thick hair, you have to give the foundation extra attention.
You can’t really tell from the video, but she has a lot of hair, so getting her mold down smooth was important to keep the install from looking bulky. This one was definitely a challenge and took me longer than my usual quick weave.
We used three full bundles two in the same texture and one with a little more curl. I thought she’d wear it curly, but she wanted it straight for her birthday! She was nervous the hair wouldn’t blend, but you know I had to work my magic.

Most tape ins don’t fail because of the hair. They fail because of placement.⠀

Too high = slipping.⠀
Too close = tension.⠀
Wrong foundation = short wear time.⠀
⠀
⠀
This is why technique matters just as much as the extensions.⠀
Save this if you wear tape ins or want them installed correctly.

What I love most about traditional sew ins is their seamless blend, which gives a natural appearance. We achieved this look using 20", 22", and 24" lengths of kinky straight hair.
