Talking about the things that inspire me most and sharing my discoveries felt like a natural progression in my life as a professional surfer and motivational speaker. I am deeply passionate about learning and committed to finding ways to challenge myself daily. The Salty Coconut will not only provide me with an outlet for sharing workouts, nutrition and my personal blog, but it also provides me with a platform to connect with other like-minded people who have something valuable to share, and to inspire others to take on a new healthy approach to life. I have faced many of my own hurdles in life and I have chosen to not let these define me, but to make me stronger. When someone told me I could not achieve something, I accepted it as a challnege and I have never looked back. I try to live with absolute passion for the choices I make in life and to accept and move forward with the choices that effect me, but were not mine to make. From something as simple as spending time with family, to pushing my limits in the gym, to running in the mountains, to inventing new recipes, to chasing waves in competition – life is waiting for us.
