Dear clients:

So the official update was just released yesterday stating the shelter-in-place order is extended until May 31st, or until ANOTHER further notice.

So officially, we will reopen on 6/1. However if you are informed about the 4 phases of reopening, we are at Phase 1 now, which hospitalization rates for the coronavirus stabilize, and only the essential businesses are open.

Phase 2 will allow more non-essential retail stores and manufacturing to get back to business, along with some public places, which is expecting to happen in weeks after.

Phase 3 is for us! Fitness clubs, spas, nail salons, hair salons and barbershops that require much more personal contact will be able to reopen. But according to the governor, personal service businesses are still months, not weeks, away from reopening. And even after reopening, there will be many new rules and restrictions to follow.

And Phase 4 is for mass crowd events like conventions, concerts and sporting events, which under the state plan, they won't come until a later date, and it won't be soon. Don’t expect them until there is a vaccine or widespread immunity.

I continue to keep track of my crazy big long note here, with all of you who were expecting an appointment between 3/17 to 5/31 (11 week! I know! Holy!).
I will reach out to you for rescheduling when it is officially confirmed that we get to the end of the tunnel. But based on the Phase 3 thing, adjust your expectation and don’t get your hopes high.
Before that day is certain, I will not handle any appointment requests. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
In the mean time, I continue to be available for remote consultations and provide all hair maintenance/product related Q&A.

I’m sorry for this historical level of inconvenience, but the struggle for all beauty industry practitioners is truly the same as all of you. I’m with y’all to get through this tough time together.
Thank you again for your continued support as always. I’m always a shy person, but up to this point I just have to tell you that I MISS YOU! Stay safe and motivated!

Your hairstylist,
Gerald

Dear clients:
It’s been 15 days and I’m sure everyone is aware of the ongoing shelter-in-place order by now; the latest update states that it will extend to May 3rd, or until another further notice.
In the last 2 weeks, I individually dealt with 35 reschedulings for those who had an appointment between 3/17 to 4/7, and it was an exhausting task. Some presumed this extension and thoughtfully booked further out to late April and early May, which obviously wasn’t far enough and now resulting me having 52 appointments to deal with, without a guarantee that the final appointments will be set set.
Since the situation is fluid, I will prepare a note with all of you who was expecting an appointment between 3/17 to 5/3, and reach out to you for rescheduling, starting on the day that the news confirms about businesses can be ready to reopen. And before that day is certain, I will not be accepting any incoming appointment requests with possible rescheduling. Thank you for understanding.
In the mean time, I continue to be available for remote consultations and provide all hair maintenance/product related Q&A.
I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused, but I’m still with y’all to get through this tough time together. Thank you again for your continued support as always, stay safe and motivated!

Your hairstylist,
Gerald

Dear clients:

So per the terms of the official shelter-in-place order by the Department of Health, the entire Sola Salons will be forced to close its doors and reopen on 4/8 Wednesday, or until further notice.
In the mean time, I will continue to be available for remote consultations and appointment requests, and my scheduling software will text you individually for appointment confirmations and reminders.
I will do my best to reschedule all of you who have an appointment during 3/17 to 4/7. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused, but I’m with y’all to get through this tough time together. Thank you for your continued support as always, stay safe and healthy!

Your hairstylist,
Gerald 👊🏻
