A great yoga cue can help students feel the yoga rather than judge the pose.
As yoga teachers, our words can shift the focus away from what a pose looks like and towards what a student is actually experiencing in their body.
These are some of the essential cues I come back to again and again in my teaching. A mix of alignment, breath, awareness and permission that encourages students to explore their practice rather than perfect it.
Because yoga isn’t about making the perfect shape. It’s about noticing, breathing, feeling and learning to listen to your body.
