🐴✨ GROOM + EQUINE MASSAGE THERAPIST FOR HIRE! ✨🐴
Flash got the full spa-day treatment today… and I’m pretty sure he thinks this should be a weekly appointment. 😂
We started with a workout to get his body warm, loose, and moving. Then it was off to the wash rack for a full shampoo + conditioning treatment, followed by combing out those ridiculously long, luscious locks. 💁♂️🐴
And then came his favorite part…
💆♀️ A full hour of equine massage and bodywork.
By the end, Flash was completely relaxed, happy, and looking like the handsome gentleman he knows he is. ❤️
With 35+ years of hands-on horse experience and a background in both human and equine massage, I’m available for:
✨ Equine massage & bodywork
✨ Grooming & spa days
✨ Exercise riding
✨ Horse care / horse nanny services
✨ Conditioning & recovery support
📍 Serving Scottsdale, Cave Creek, Desert Hills & North Phoenix
Your horse deserves a spa day too. 🐴🫧💆♀️

🌵 NEW TO DESERT HILLS — HELLO, NEIGHBORS! 🐴
Hi everyone! My name is Katherine Perham, and I’m excited to be making Desert Hills my new home.
I’m a Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Equine Massage Therapist, and lifelong horsewoman with more than 35 years of experience in the horse world. I’m bringing my business, Ember & Earth Bodywork, with me — and I’m completely mobile, so I come to you, your home, or your barn.
For my human clients, I specialize in therapeutic and restorative bodywork including sports massage, deep tissue, Thai yoga bodywork, myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, cupping, PEMF, stretching and recovery work.
For my horse neighbors 🐴, I offer equine massage and bodywork for performance, recovery, mobility, flexibility and general wellness.
I’m also available as a horse nanny/barn caretaker when you travel or simply need an extra experienced set of hands. I can help with feeding, turnout, stalls and pasture care, medications and supplements, basic first aid/bandaging, exercise riding, senior or companion horses, and short- or longer-term care. I have experience with everything from trail and endurance horses to dressage, hunters, Mustangs and project horses.
My background also includes volunteering with UC Davis Large Animal Radiology and working as a barn caretaker at The Shea Center.
Most of all, I’m looking forward to becoming part of this horse-loving Desert Hills community. If you see me around, please say hello — and if your body hurts, your horse is sore, or you need someone trustworthy to keep an eye on the herd while you’re away, I’m your girl. ❤️

I’m in the process of Rebranding..
Hi, I’m Katherine — founder of Ember & Earth Bodywork. I specialize in therapeutic, sports, and recovery-focused bodywork designed to help you move better, feel stronger, and reconnect with your body.
My approach combines deep tissue therapy, sports massage, cupping, mobility-focused techniques, and intuitive bodywork to create sessions that are both restorative and results-driven. Whether you’re an athlete, equestrian, hardworking professional, or simply carrying the weight of stress and tension, every session is tailored specifically to your body’s needs.
I believe healing should feel intentional, grounded, and empowering — not rushed or routine. My goal is to create a space where recovery becomes part of your lifestyle and your body feels supported, balanced, and cared for at every level.
At Ember & Earth, bodywork is more than self-care — it’s functional recovery with purpose.
