Whenever friends come to visit me in Scottsdale during the summer, this is my usual itinerary.
Instead of trying to fight against 110° weather, I like to mix in some of my favorite indoor spots with a few Scottsdale classics.
Berdena’s for coffee.
Wonderspaces for an immersive art experience.
OdySea Aquarium to cool off.
Pinyon for one of my favorite dinners in Old Town.
SMoCA for a little inspiration.
And of course, the LOVE sculpture, because no Scottsdale visit feels complete without a photo there.
If you were visiting Scottsdale this summer, which stop would you make first?
People move here for the weather…then they also realize it’s the luxury communities, access to hiking and wellness, world class shopping and dining, and daily dose of serotonin that keep them loving the Scottsdale life.
Arizona is hard to beat!

Most sellers focus on expensive renovations.
In reality, it’s often the small details that make buyers feel like a home has been well cared for.
Before you list your home, start with these five simple improvements:
1. Refresh your landscaping. Trim overgrown plants, add fresh mulch, and replace anything that’s struggling.
2. Give your home a fresh coat of paint where it needs it most. A clean, neutral look goes a long way.
3. Declutter every room so buyers can picture themselves living there, not just looking at your belongings.
4. Update outdated light fixtures. It’s one of the easiest ways to modernize a home.
5. Deep clean everything. Sparkling windows, spotless baseboards, and clean grout leave a lasting impression.
These projects don’t have to cost a fortune, but they can have a big impact on how buyers perceive your home and what they’re willing to pay.
