I’m going to be really honest here…

When I started doing hair and makeup 20+ years ago, things felt simple. I did what I loved, created beautiful makeup, and helped women feel confident and like themselves.

Somewhere along the way, the industry changed.
Suddenly, it felt like being a good artist wasn’t enough.

We had to prove it—with perfectly curated content, follower counts, views, kit tours, hygiene videos, constant posting, AI, and images edited to perfection. And don't get me started about coming up with the "perfect" caption. UGH 

I just want to do the most beautiful hair and makeup for all of my wonderful ladies, not be a full-time content creator😊

I almost didn’t say any of this because I never want any of my clients to think I don't love this industry.

I do! 🤩

I couldn't imagine my life any other way.
That’s actually why this shift has bothered me so much.

Because I LOVE what I do. I love all of my clients . I love making women feel beautiful. And after 20 + years, I’m proud of the business I’ve built simply by being myself.

I don’t want to become louder just to compete. I don’t want to chase numbers to prove my worth. And I don’t want to lose the heart behind what I do just to keep up with what the industry says I should be doing.

So I’m choosing to stay true to myself. 

Still creating. Still learning. Still growing. Still caring way too much about every woman who sits in my chair.

And hopefully, that’s still good enough for you.
