so, this is such a funny conversation. across different social media platforms I've been talking back and forth with one of my good friends Rashad Eugene about the xma/extreme weapons divisions, and things I like and things I'd like to see improved. one of the things is taking more risk with more challenging techniques. while that division isn't something a particularly interested in, I have a lot of respect for those competitors and athletes. he's one of the one that inspires me to keep challenging myself as well and I was talking about some ideas for moves that would look cool with the tonfa. I figured during the conversation I would just send him a video to show him what I was talking about cuz sometimes it's hard to visualize. this is a part of the video conversation I am having with him and just filling in some answers for him as well. I was coming home from work while we were talking, and I was tired but once I started to do this it fired me right back up. I love martial arts.
Empi- Ha it's just one of those forms that is fun to perform. I loved learning it and performing it when I was a green belt / intermediate level. My students enjoy it very much and hate when I make them do harder forms as they move up to the next rank to compete with. During my performance days with it, I used to embellish an ad a little bit more explosivity and excitement just for fun. Today I was just playing around with it cuz it's been a while slow and steady just having a good time in the rain I guess.
Empi-Ha, it's just one of those forms that, you learn when you're at intermediate level and you fall in love with the speed and explosiveness of the techniques when she learned them. It was one of my favorite forms to learn coming up and to perform at tournaments. As I get older I would exaggerate and add a little bit of jumping or explosivity to kind of, I don't know flare it up a bit. A lot of my students end up liking that form to and hate when I force them to do something more advanced as they progress. But I figured I would play with it a little bit today I did a much more aggressive version before I did this one, but I'm not going to share that LOL
Bruh, why does this keep happening to me? Either I have a look that just screams that you think you could beat me up, or I am far too friendly to people. but these things happen more often than I realize LOL
Sorry it took me so long to post this but here's some clips from the Asian and Pacific islander cultural heritage celebration at the Vancouver Mall. Here you can see some of the US martial arts team performing empty-handed forms, weapons, self-defense techniques, etc also highlighted was from and her students. We are all happy to support each other during this event.
Before anybody thinks this is a martial arts only page I had to drop a couple clips from when I was treating and teaching massage. I miss when Instagram used to have longer form videos but I guess them attention spans don't work like they used to.

Feel like I didn't have enough time even in this video to talk on I full thoughts. But just wanted to drop a review of the
Nothing to see here just more videos of me to ordering my students LOL and it's not really sure it's just making them more athletic as I prepared them for the days lessons.
