What Does Freedom Mean To You?
July 4th is always marked by the bright bursts of fireworks and the smoke of backyard barbecues, but at its core, today is about a quiet, powerful word: freedom.
True freedom isn’t a finished monument or a static date in a history book. It is a living, breathing promise—one that was drafted two and a half centuries ago but must be re-earned, protected, and expanded by every generation that follows.
It is the right to speak your mind, to choose your own path, and to live without fear. But it is also a reminder of our responsibility to one another. Freedom thrives best when we remember that our liberties are tied together; my freedom is made stronger when yours is secure.
