I know what it's like to suffer from sensitive skin. Several years ago I began struggling with my skin. It seemed like almost overnight I began having horrible break-outs, hot spots, flushing and itching. Having never experienced anything like it before, I was desperate to find some answers. After trying alternative cleansers and moisturizers, but only making things worse, I finally turned to a dermatologist who diagnosed me with Rosacea. All at once, my skin had changed and caring for my ultra-sensitive face became a top priority. In my search for products that my sensitive face could tolerate, specifically a washcloth that was gentle enough to wash my ultra-sensitive face, I came up empty handed. Many expensive products claiming to be ultra-gentle, ended up abrasive and even washing as gently as I could with regular washcloths often resulted in redness and irritation. I decided to take matters into my own hands and focus on all things gentle, soft and soothing. I instantly thought of babies. We use all things gentle, soft and soothing on babies. No one wants to use a scratchy washcloth on such tender skin. With the fairest of all skin in mind, the Fairface™ Washcloth was born. A small update about our original Dual Washcloths ♡
Many of you remember when we retired our original Fairface Dual Washcloths in 2024.
It was a difficult decision for our small business, but rising material and labor costs made them too hard to continue producing at the time.
Since then, we’ve heard from so many of you who shared how much you loved them and hoped they might come back someday.
Your messages have truly meant more than we can say.
Because of that support, we’re now exploring whether we might be able to bring them back
— along with some other sold-out products —
in a way that allows Fairface to operate sustainably.
Nothing is finalized yet, but we wanted to share that we are working on it.

Do regular washcloths hurt your face?
That was the case with me, almost 16 years ago, when I was diagnosed with rosacea.
Every washcloth hurt my face, and because of that, I started making my own washcloths out of soft flannel.
Those soft flannel washcloths helped calm my skin, & forever changed the way I cared for it.
In an effort to help other people with sensitive skin, I began making them and sharing them with the world.
