I didn’t expect that moving to the U.S. would become such a spiritual experience for me. The first months were just stressful, with so many new things all around: from the banking and credit system to transportation and even food issues 😀
Now, in our sixth month here, I feel such a strong desire to change from the inside. Immigration made it very clear that the way I used to live my life and achieve my goals just doesn’t work here anymore. The world here simply doesn’t respond to it, and I have to dive deeper to find out who I am without my old patterns of achieving, working hard, and overlooking my deeper desires and wishes.
So now I am literally reassembling, reviewing, and reconstructing myself from the inside. Every old habit, every hidden memory, every suppressed emotion or thought is showing up without asking for my permission 😅
Maybe it’s because the U.S., from the very first time I came here 15 years ago, felt like a place of freedom and joy - something my soul remembered even when I forgot.
For the last 15 years I trained myself to be strong, to solve everything alone, to survive and move forward no matter how hard it got: from endless bureaucracy to complicated relationships. That version of me was necessary then. But now, being back here, I feel this deep, quiet longing to return to that inner freedom, that lightness, that joy I once felt.
And to do that, I have to finally let go of the part of me that always struggles, fights, and survives. I have to allow myself to live differently. To soften. To trust. To listen. Because that old armor simply doesn’t serve me anymore, and maybe it never truly did.
So my new chapter is here. Guided by yoga practice and by the many incredible teachers. I feel grateful to be here - on this land, in this part of the world, at this exact moment in my life.
I don’t have all the answers yet, and maybe that’s the point. This chapter isn’t about certainty or achievements. It’s about presence. About honesty with myself. About learning to live not from survival, but from connection - to my body, my heart, and the quiet truth inside.
I’m choosing to meet this place, and this life, with curiosity instead of fear. To allow myself to be changed by it. To let joy be simple again. And to trust that whatever unfolds next will grow from a place that finally feels like home - inside first, and then everywhere else ✨
