Hi friends,

Can you believe we're already nearing the end of summer?

Even if you've been great about wearing sunscreen (which I hope you have 👀), the combination of Florida heat, humidity, UV exposure, chlorine, saltwater, sweat, and constant sunscreen reapplication can really take a toll on your skin.

Lately, almost every client who's been in my treatment room has been dealing with the same thing, skin that just isn't looking or feeling its best. It's dull, dehydrated, a little congested, and just missing that healthy glow. If you've noticed your skincare products don't seem to be working quite as well, or your makeup isn't sitting as nicely as it used to, there's a good chance dehydration is playing a role.

One thing I always like to explain is that dehydrated skin isn't the same thing as dry skin. Dry skin lacks oil, while dehydrated skin lacks water. Even oily or acne-prone skin can become dehydrated, especially after months of Florida sun, heat, air conditioning, and all that time spent outdoors.
