Sebaceous filaments are tiny, natural structures inside your pores that help transport sebum (your skin’s natural oil) to the surface to keep your skin moisturized and protected.

Are they blackheads? 🖤

No! Unlike blackheads, which are clogged pores, sebaceous filaments are a normal part of your skin’s structure. They help your skin function properly.

Can you get rid of them?

You can’t permanently eliminate sebaceous filaments, but you can minimize their appearance! ✨

✔️ Use a gentle cleanser to remove excess oil and buildup.
✔️ Try salicylic acid to help keep pores clear.
✔️ Consider a retinoid to help reduce clogged pores and improve skin texture.
✔️ Avoid squeezing or picking, which can irritate your skin.
✔️ Antioxidants can be helpful because the black appearance comes from Oxidation
