• Avoid alcohol and caffeine before your appointment, as they may increase skin sensitivity.
• Wear loose, comfortable clothing to help prevent irritation afterward.
• Avoid tanning or heavy sun exposure before your appointment.
• If you’re feeling extra sensitive, you can take an over-the-counter pain reliever about 30–45 minutes before your appointment.
