POV: Itâs 90°⌠but your makeup still looks fresh. âď¸
If your makeup melts the second you step outside, here are a few of my favorite tricks for keeping your glam locked in all summer long:
⨠1. Start with the right skin prep.
The Danessa Myricks Beauty by Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder is one of my favorite products for controlling excess oil before foundation even goes on.
⨠2. Make your complexion products waterproof.
Mix a single drop of MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Seal into your foundation or concealer to help increase its staying power through heat and humidity.
⨠3. Apply in thin layers.
Heavy makeup breaks apart faster in the heat. Thin, well-built layers look more like skin and last much longer.
⨠4. Powder strategicallyânot everywhere.
Set the areas that naturally get oily, like your T-zone, instead of over-powdering your entire face. Youâll stay matte without losing that healthy skin finish.
⨠5. Lock everything in with setting spray.
For everyday wear, I love L'OreĚal Paris Official Infallible 3-Second Setting Mist. If youâre heading to a wedding, outdoor event, or anywhere your makeup absolutely cannot budge, Kryolan Professional Make-up Fixing Spray is my heavy-duty favorite.
⨠6. Blot throughout the day instead of adding more powder. Blotting sheets absorb oil without disturbing your makeup, keeping your skin fresh instead of cakey.
Summer makeup doesnât have to feel heavy to last all dayâit just takes the right products and technique.
