I love this. This is spot on. We just never thought about it this way.
Have you ever felt like you’re not doing enough for God’s Kingdom?
I had a conversation recently that reminded me of something we all need to hear.
Someone thanked me for being involved in so many things and said they didn’t feel like they were doing enough. As we talked, I encouraged them to simply pray:
“Lord, use me as Your hands and feet. Help me to be joyfully obedient to whatever You are calling me to do.”
Then they shared that they and their husband often spend six-hour road trips praying and listening to sermons. My heart lit up. What a powerful ministry! They were faithfully using the time God had given them to seek Him and intercede for others, yet they had never thought of it as God using them.
God doesn’t measure faithfulness by the size of the stage. He looks for willing hearts.
Some are called to teach. Some to serve quietly. Some to encourage. Some to give. Some to pray. Some to simply love the person standing in front of them.
Don’t compare your calling to someone else’s. Be joyful. Be obedient. Do the one thing God is asking you to do today, whether it seems big or small.
Faithfulness is never wasted in the hands of God.
