Beast Life: Indoor Season

If you asked me a year ago where I saw myself, I would not have said coaching a professional track team. I rang in the new year isolated with COVID, re-evaluating my personal, professional, and running goals, and looking forward to spectating the US Olympic Marathon Trials. Fast forward to the US Olympic Track Trials in Eugene ➡️ last summer and the Brooks Hyperion House…❤️‍🔥

A confluence of events, running conversations, trusting myself, taking a chance, taking the next right step, and having the courage to pursue my passions to their deepest place, has lead me here, as assistant coach of the Brooks Beasts Track Club, with a talented staff, the best brand, and a growing group of incredible humans with speed as one of their many superpowers. In a few short months, I have learned more about myself as a coach as I dive into knowing them as people first, then athletes. What they have shown me is what I have always believed about this sport in my soul: that if you work relentlessly, remain healthy, train smart and with integrity, you will have success. But if you do these same things alongside people you respect, love, and care about instead of doing them alone, you will have success on a lasting level - the kind that inspires generations and affects positive change the sport and world need to see.

I traded palm trees, sand and golden sunshine to chase golden dreams with you in Seattle and around the world. I don’t really have a home quite yet but I can’t wait to keep laying bricks with you to build something new, together. 🧱
