The first thing I’m doing at 60? A full makeover — hair, makeup, and clothes — live on QVC.

Days after my birthday, Maria McCool is cutting and coloring my hair. She owns Calista Tools and Salon and is a QVC regular herself — I’m in great hands. Full glam, new clothes, all on Make Me Over Maria.

This isn’t my first time at QVC. I won Gift Boss last September, and I somehow always end up pulled on stage even when I’m just sitting in the audience. But this one feels different — this one’s personal. And it’s no secret I’d love to work at QVC one day, so this is the biggest moment I’ve had there yet.

I spent a girls weekend with women I’ve been friends with for 45 years. And this year, the last of us turns 60.

We laughed, reminisced, talked about our families, and made new memories.

There’s something special about growing older with the people who knew you when you were young. Some friendships are just good for the soul.

Just checking in… because somewhere along the way, we were told life was supposed to slow down as we got older.

I’m 59, and I’m finding the opposite.

I’m saying yes to more experiences, trying new things, meeting new people, and making plans for what’s next.

Getting older doesn’t mean becoming less of who you are. For me, it’s becoming more of who I want to be.

She was 59. I’m 59.

My mom — the woman who adopted me and raised me — died of a massive heart attack. At 59. So when I turned 58, I knew 59 was coming, and that number stopped being just a number.

There were two reasons I finally saw a cardiologist:

→ My mom’s heart attack. She was 59. I knew I was about to be. I couldn’t keep ignoring that.
→ I’m adopted, so I don’t have my biological family’s medical history. No idea what actually runs in my blood.

So I got established as a patient at 58 — before I needed one, and before I even turned 59. Waited a year for the appointment, which is exactly why I didn’t wait any longer to start.

At 59, I’m saying yes to more experiences, more fun, and a little more magic. ✨

Last night we saw Shin Lim’s LIMITLESS in Las Vegas, and it was incredible. Dave even ended up on stage and had everyone laughing. 😂

But the night got even better after the show when I had the chance to meet Shin Lim.
