Skincare tip: Topical exosomes—yes or no?
My answer: a cautious maybe. Promising, but not a skincare essential.
Exosomes are tiny particles released by cells that carry messages to other cells. Some early studies of specific topical formulas have reported improvements in skin appearance.
But those results don’t prove that every “exosome serum” works—or that exosomes alone deserve the credit.
Why am I selective?
The source, formulation, stability, and testing matter. A trendy ingredient on the label doesn’t tell us how well the finished product performs.
And results from exosomes used alongside microneedling or laser treatments cannot automatically be applied to a serum you smooth onto intact skin at home.
At Tala, I’m open to innovation ( i carry microneedling exosomes) —but I want evidence behind the actual topical product before recommending the price tag. Interesting addition? Possibly. A reason to abandon your skincare basics? No.

My clients have been spoiling me. 💜
From these beautiful gifts to fresh fruit, yummy homemade goodies, and delicious meals—you have filled my heart (and my belly!).
What touches me most is knowing you thought of me outside your time at Tala. That kindness means so much.
And some of the greatest gifts you give me are your referrals and reviews. Every time you tell a friend about Tala or take a moment to share your experience, you help this little business grow. Your recommendation carries a trust that no advertisement can buy.
Thank you for letting me care for you—and for caring for me in return. I am so grateful for this community we are building together. 💜
With love, Marija

9 AM: Lip gloss on. Ready for the day.
6 PM: Lip gloss has left the building. 😂
A full day at Tala, written all over my face—and still plenty to smile about. 💜
Who else has a morning version and an end-of-day version?

EXOSOMES: A big word deserves better questions.
You’ve probably seen exosomes advertised all over social media as the next breakthrough in skincare. So, what are exosomes?
They are tiny particles released by cells that can carry biological messages—and the science is fascinating.
But seeing “exosomes” on a label doesn’t tell us where they came from, how they were tested, or what the finished product can actually do for your skin.
Before getting excited, ask:
What exactly is in this product?
Has this specific formula been studied on people? Was it tested for the way it will be used?
Research on an ingredient isn’t automatically proof that every serum containing it delivers the same results.
At Tala, I’m interested in innovation—and I ask questions. You deserve thoughtful care, clear explanations, and realistic expectations.
A trending ingredient is a conversation starter. It isn’t the whole answer.

After 40, taking care of your skin is about more than finding the next miracle serum. 😉
Start with the habits that do the heavy lifting: sleep, enough protein, and strength training. Your skin is part of the body you’re caring for.
Then keep your skincare consistent.
Wear SPF every day, and consider a retinoid that your skin can tolerate.
Growth factors can be a lovely addition, but they don’t replace the basics
Pay attention to your skin barrier.
If your face feels tight, stings when you apply products, or stays irritated, piling on more actives may be the last thing it needs.
You don’t need a 14-step routine. You need one that works for your skin and that you’ll actually use. That’s where I can help.

Sunday Musings:
When Did Being Human Become a Problem to Solve?
Lately, I have been thinking about how exhausting it has become simply to be a person.
We are encouraged to monitor our sleep, count our steps, track our heart rate, measure our productivity, analyze our moods, optimize our morning routines, improve our bodies, correct our faces—and purchase whatever promises to help us do it faster.
Somewhere along the way, caring for ourselves quietly became correcting ourselves.
There is now a product for every insecurity and an “expert” ready to explain why the ordinary thing you have been doing your entire life is suddenly wrong. We are constantly being sold solutions, often by people who earn money when we believe we have a problem.
That does not automatically make every recommendation dishonest. Professionals deserve to be paid for their knowledge, and good products and treatments can genuinely improve our lives.
I have built my own profession around caring for skin and helping people feel better.
But integrity requires us to tell the difference between offering care and manufacturing inadequacy.
It also requires humility.
A title, a white coat, a large following, or a confident voice does not make uncertainty disappear. Sometimes the evidence is promising but incomplete. Sometimes the honest answer is, We do not know yet. And sometimes a new device is simply an interesting solution to a problem most of us never had.
Beauty is not the enemy. Ambition is not the enemy. Wanting to grow, heal, learn, or take better care of ourselves is not shallow.
The danger begins when improvement becomes an endless assignment—when we can no longer eat without calculating, rest without measuring, age without apologizing, or look in the mirror without searching for the next thing to fix.
We were not created to live as permanent renovation projects.
There are seasons when discipline is necessary and changes need to be made. But there are also seasons when the healthiest thing we can do is stop evaluating ourselves.
To sit quietly.
To eat the meal without earning it first.
To take the walk without counting it.
To enjoy our face without enlarging it on a screen.
To admit that we are tired without asking a ring to confirm it.
Perhaps that is part of the wisdom of Sunday. It interrupts the noise and reminds us that our worth was never meant to depend on our output, appearance, efficiency, or ability to keep improving
Rest is not a reward for finally becoming enough.
It is an acknowledgment that we already are.
Maybe today we do not need another plan, purchase, metric, or expert opinion.
Maybe today we simply need to remember that being human was never something we had to apologize for.
Imperfect. Unmeasured. Still growing.
And already worthy of care.
Blessed Sunday y'all!
